“99.5 KADI” went on the air in June 1990 with a staff of eight people; one being RC Amer, Jr who at the time was a sales representative.
In the years following, Mr. Amer moved into the role of sales manager, station manager, then purchased KADI through Vision Communications Inc., a company Amer owns with his wife, Karen. Vision Communications had a management agreement with KADI since 1994, the year Amer formed the company. The purchase was finalized in 2000.
KADI is very involved with the community. The station and its listeners have taken on causes including the Good Samaritans Boys Ranch, Pregnancy Care Center, Project Hope, Honor Flight, Ozarks Food Harvest, Convoy of Hope plus many others.
As aleader in commercial Christian radio KADI has helped bring many of the top names in Christian music to Springfield including TobyMac, Skillet, Third Day, and is known within the industry for breaking new bands and artists.
KADI continues to bring hope, love and entertainment to the Springfield and surrounding areas through beautiful uplifiting music, community partnerships, as well as fun and entertaining on-air personalities, inspiring music, contests and live radio parties.
